Of course, to warm up for the movie, we had to get a good light saber fight in! Are you a STAR WARS fan? Tweet out #ShowUsYourForce showing a picture of your Jedi’s!
WATCH STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS DVD MOVIE
And unlike the movie theater…you can talk and make comments aloud…and even pause the movie for a bathroom break and snack run! It is so much fun to watch the STAR WARS movie with friends – it’s great being in a crowd of good friends while watching a movie you’ve been excited about for months. We had 6 kids and 6 adults watch STAR WARS: The Force Awakens on DVD movie together. We gathered up all of the pillows and blankets we had around the house and the kids cozied themselves on the floor while the adults nestled into our couches. We got a few decorations ( danglers & a cool tablecloth) from our local Walmart, Luke’s cool Lightsaber for some impromptu battles, pizza from Sam’s Club, and some snacks…and we were ready! The Force was with us during our STAR WARS: The Force Awakens on DVD viewing party! Star Wars favorites, Lei, Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2, and C-3PO are reunited along with a new cast of heroes including Poe Dameron (a starfighter pilot), Rey (an orphaned scavenger), Finn (former Stormtrooper), and BB-8 (a rolling droid). Yet, all these years later, the First Order continues to wage war in the galaxy, with new antagonists Captain Phasma and Kly Ren at the helm. Star Wars: The Force Awakens shows what has happened since the Rebel Alliance defeated the second Death Star. STAR WARS: The Force Awakens is the 7th episode of STAR WARS. Thirty years have passed since the events of The Return of the Jedi (1983) in this thrilling new space saga. All Summer long we had been meeting together with our friends to catch our kids up with all of the STAR WARS movies, it has been a great family adventure with our good friends. We all loved the movie, (see our review, here). We were ready!Īnd STAR WARS: The Force Awakens did not disappoint. Our friends and my family all had our matching STAR WARS shirts on. We waited in line on opening night for 5+ hours. Kind of reminds me of today and the “bonding” we have with our Androids and Apples!Īnyways, as a Walmart Mom, we were given early access to the STAR WARS: The Force Awakens on DVD, which went on sale today! When the STAR WARS: The Force Awakens movie was coming out, we bought our tickets early on Fandango. STAR WARS offers a great blend of science fiction, amazing technology, and stories of bonding – between both humans and their Androids. We are big fans of STAR WARS here at Well Connected Mom.
